Board Member Spotlight: Karriann Farrell Hinds
Karriann Farrell Hinds is a proud homemaker living in Los Angeles. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., English), she did a stint on Capital Hill as a legislative assistant for the American Civil Liberties Union before pursuing her juris doctorate at Loyola Law School. She spent many years as an advocate in private general practice, family law and public interest agencies before deciding to flee the working world. The mother of two children in elementary school (finally!), she spends her free-time navigating professional purgatory by serving on two boards – the ACLU-SC affiliate (rooting out injustice across the land) and the NWPC LA Westside chapter (pursuing gender equality in politics), learning to play the piano, studying biblical history, training to run half marathons and figuring out a way to incorporate a dog into her family.
